It’s that time of year when we start to look for gallon jugs! The fun continues with another year of boat races led by our 5th and 6th CS/ STEM classes. But, we need your help! We need more gallon jugs! Please help by sending rinsed-out gallon jugs with the lid on them. They can be dropped off to Jayda at the MS/HS office. Ellie Lapel has officially signed her letter of intent to continue her cross country and track career at Wartburg College in Waverly, IA, where she plans to pursue a degree in Exercise Science or Psychology. Ellie capped off her senior cross country season with an impressive 30th-place finish at the state meet, a notable improvement from her 61st-place finish the previous year. She boasts outstanding personal bests of 20:12 in the 5K, 11:02 in the 3000m, and 5:13 in the 1500m, highlighted by an 8th-place finish in the 3000m at the 2024 state track meet. This spring, Ellie has her sights set on breaking school records in the 3000m and 1500m while contending for state medals in both events. We are not privy to the extent of the breach or even if the WCSD was involved. The WCSD does not put social security numbers and/or banking information (for example) in Power School. We are excited to announce that the Woodbine Girls and Boys Basketball teams will be participating in the 1st Annual Alden Berkenpas Scholarship Classic on Saturday, January 11th @ MVAOCOU High School!
