We are not privy to the extent of the breach or even if the WCSD was involved. The WCSD does not put social security numbers and/or banking information (for example) in Power School. As soon as we learn more, we will share it with you. FYI for now.

We are excited to announce that the Woodbine Girls and Boys Basketball teams will be participating in the 1st Annual Alden Berkenpas Scholarship Classic on Saturday, January 11th @ MVAOCOU High School! The Varsity girls will play MVAOCOU @ 6 PM, followed by the Varsity boys playing Kingsley-Pierson. Stay tuned for more information on the 1st Annual Alden Berkenpas Scholarship Classic.

What a fantastic evening at the Living Windows event! Our National Honor Society teamed up with Woodbine Main Street to bring holiday cheer to the Bright Lights Little City event. We had the Grinch running around, Tiger Santa assisting the Humane Society with kitty adoptions, and even a snowball fight in the Aroma windows! #NHS

Our after school daycare program is embracing the winter spirit with some exciting activities! We've been creating beautiful snowflake paintings with Q-tips, designing marble mazes, and building teamwork skills with LEGO challenges. What an exciting day at WCSD! Our PreK-4 students participated in the Hour of Code, where they engaged in hands-on learning with amazing devices like BeeBots, Finch Robots, and Sphero Bolts! A huge shoutout to our 5/6 students and teachers Shawna Harris and Kyle Bartels for hosting this event in the HS gymnasium! A special thank you to Heather Lundquist with GHAEA and her support. With Iowa being one of the top 10 states in Computer Science, we’re proud to provide our students with these unique experiences that many districts can’t offer.
