The Harrison County Sheriff's Office is proud to continue its annual D.A.R.E. program with our 5th-grade students. This week, students had the privilege of learning from Leo and his deputies. With two sessions remaining, they will culminate their experience with a visit to the Harrison County Jail. Engaging our youth in valuable life lessons is essential for building safer communities! #D.A.R.E. #YouthEngagement #CommunitySafety

Secondary vocal music director, Andrea Feller took two individuals to perform at CY Stevens Auditorium in Ames, IA for the 38th annual OPUS festival. Those individuals were Adam A. (8th grade), and Makenzie McCurley(9th grade).
Both students had to go through a difficult online audition to be chosen for this prestigious honor. They then learned and memorized five pieces of music in just under a month. They performed with other students their age from schools of every size and all across the state.
It was a long day of working and learning, but the performance was amazing. If you see these three, please congratulate them for representing Woodbine so well!

Good evening! It is that time of year when inclement weather can impact school operations. The WCSD will make every attempt to announce school closings or late starts by 6:00 AM each morning. This is done because food service, transportation, and snow removal efforts need to begin by that time to prepare students for the day.
WCSD late starts and/or school cancellations will be shared via Power School and Facebook. Please note that closures will not be listed on any other platforms to ensure expediency and accuracy of the information shared. Inclement weather decisions are tricky, and the district will focus on the safety of students and staff when making any final decisions. As always, if you are unable to get your student to school due to inclement weather conditions, please be safe and communicate with the school. Go, Tigers!

The JH Boys Basketball team will travel to Audubon to take on the Wheelers at 4:15 PM. Good luck Tigers!
