The winter sports are officially in full swing. The HS boys basketball and wrestling start practices this week, the JH boys basketball teams continue their winning ways, and the Woodbine Lady Tiger Basketball team is hosting the Achieve Challenge Scrimmage on Thursday, November 21st, at 6:00 PM against the Ridge View Raptors!
We invite everyone to bring donations for the Food Pantry or Harrison County Humane Society.

Food Pantry: Needs paper products (toilet paper, Kleenex, paper towels) & personal care items (toothpaste, shampoo, soap, etc.)
Harrison County Humane Society: Dog, cat, and kitten chow, clumping litter, and cleaning supplies.

The Quiz Bowl team attended one of the largest tournaments in the state of Iowa this weekend in Logan. They had a spectacular overtime win against a powerful Elkhorn, NE school to compete in the championship round, earning runners-up. They scored an impressive 2060 team points. This performance should earn them an invitation to the National Championship. Quiz Bowl members are Aaron Colwell, Teddy Kuker, Tony Kuker, Artz Jacob, & Leo Sullivan.
They compete next at Boyer Valley on Dec. 7th.

It was a proud moment for Woodbine students at the RVC Honor Choir! Under the leadership of Mr. Brett Fuelberth from Iowa Lakes Community College, our students collaborated with peers from several schools, showcasing six performances, including one original piece. Marcus, as our lone senior, represented us well. It was a long day filled with music and memories, reinforcing the value of collaboration in the arts.

Woodbine Community School District celebrated Friday morning as we proudly hosted the Marine Corps Birthday Cake Cutting Ceremony for all MCJROTC Cadets on November 8, 2024, at 8:30 AM in The Commons. This event provided a wonderful opportunity to honor the birth of the US Marine Corps and recognize the dedication of those who serve.
Staff members also joined us in this celebration. Thank you for coming together to honor this important tradition.

Tonight is the NIGHT!! Don't worry if you can't make it tonight, there is always Saturday night at 7 PM and Sunday afternoon at 2 PM.
You haven’t seen the movie. You haven’t read the book. But you won’t want to miss the production of “Elsewhere” by Don Zolidis Produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc. at the Woodbine High School this fall. Four students at a boarding school in New Hampshire risk spending the night in the abandoned headmaster’s house that is reportedly haunted. Though they don’t discover any ghosts, they meet up with some interesting characters in a realm called Elsewhere. The huffalo librarian introduces the four to their mission but does little to inform them of the adventures they will face. Not only do they meet the Amber Phoenix and Frostbringer, but the Clockmaker, tooth goblins, and other intriguing creatures. Rehearsals have been well underway for about three weeks. The play involves 21 students with some of them playing multiple parts. The costumes are fun, the sound effects add a mystical element, and the actors are working hard to present this dramedy for your approval. Dramedy? Yes, it is a comedy, but there are layers. It is a thought-provoking, laugh-out-loud dramedy with three performances. The cost is $7.00 for adults and $4.00 for students. There will also be a concession stand available.
